Dear Friends:
On September 11, 2001, our country was deliberately attacked by the terrorists in the financial and military strengths and symbols of our nation. The White House was saved by many brave passengers on the United Flight that crashed in Pennsylvania. The attack on our nation was more vicious than the one on Pearl Harbor.

As President Bush said in his address to the Congress, the state of our union was courageously and selflessly demonstrated by the brave passengers who perished and by the policemen and firefighters who gave their lives trying to save others, knowing that the skyscrapers were coming down. Many of you who live in NY-NJ or DC-VA area saw the tragedy in person. Many of us have lost someone we knew.

While it is the job of our commander-in-chief and the armed forces to carry out military operations, we must do our part, unlike the heroes of September 11, and give beyond the call of duty for the families and survivors. Our Nation need our help now more than ever. America has given us freedom to prosper and help our extended families. Please consider those in need as your family and think of President Kennedy's words: Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.

We must give generously to help WTC and Pentagon victims. We suggest three possible ways to help. Send checks directly to American Red Cross or any other relief organization working for this cause. Organize local efforts during your Diwali program and raise funds. You may send Tax deductible donation to KPSNA Charitable Foundation, with WTC written at the bottom. We will send your donation to Red Cross and mail you a receipt before January 31, 2002 for your tax filing. During July 2002 KPSNA convention in Philadelphia you will get to see the complete books of the Foundation.
